Bernice R. Pelot, 79, of 206 Doty Street, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born April 27, 1929, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Harry and Olive Sabel Ebling. On May 3, 1947, she married Junior G. Pelot at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1968.Surviving is her life companion, Eugene Liedke, Sr., two sons, Gary (Diane) Pelot of Fond du Lac, and Alan (Debbie) Pelot of Beaver Dam, two daughters, Patty Newman (Special Friend Mark Wondra) of Mayville, and Barbara Backhaus of Kenosha, two stepdaughters, Wendy Liedke (Special Friend Thomas Knueppel, Jr.) and Sandra Olmstead both of Fond du Lac, five stepsons, Gary Liedke of Fond du Lac, Eugene Liedke, Jr., of Fond du Lac, Gordy Liedke of Fond du Lac, Glenn Liedke (Marlene) of Oakfield, and Brian Liedke (Special Friend Angie Tagliapietra) of Fond du Lac, 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, a sister, Valeria Moon of Mayville. A daughter-in-law, Michelle Pelot of Fond du Lac, other relatives and friends, including special friend, Bev West of Kenosha further survive her. Her husband, twin infant daughters, two sons, Dale and James Pelot, a grandson, two brothers, and six sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Bernice R. Pelot will be on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, from 4 to 6 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 6 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Rosenberg will officiate. Cremation has taken place. The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice Home of Hope.
