Bernita E. Rockweit

Bernita E. Rockweit, 90, of Fond du Lac, passed away on her birthday, Saturday, November 29, 2014, in Fond du Lac. She was born November 29, 1924, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Christ and Della Ziegelbauer Konen. On January 21, 1950, she married Clifford O. Rockweit at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1994. Bernita was a member of St. Mary’s Church-Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing cards, bird watching. She especially loved spending time on Christmas Eve with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Kent, Kurt (Chris) and Kim (Mary) Rockweit, all of Fond du Lac, a daughter, Kay (Dan) Salzman, also of Fond du Lac, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister, Erma Bredlau of Fond du Lac, a brother, Eugene Konen, also of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Shirley Burgess of Fond du Lac. Further surviving are nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, a son, Keith, two sisters, Hazel and Jean, and two brothers, Ervin and Delmar preceded her in death.

Visitation for Bernita E. Rockweit will be on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 93 Marquette Street, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
