Bertha E. Wachholz

Bertha E. Wachholz, age 86 died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home where she had been a resident for the past two years. Bertha was born on October 1, 1922 in the Town of Forestville, Door County, the daughter of August and Hermine Detjen Gruendemann. On February 18, 1949 she married Harold F. Wachholz at Maple Creek, WI. Harold preceded her in death on October 30, 2002. Bertha worked as a clerk in the construction business for 30 years. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Van Dyne for many years.SURVIVORS: She is survived by three children; Karen (Reuel) Dins, Neil Wachholz, Esther (Scott) Scharfenberg all of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren many great-grandchildren, and one sister, Esther (Roland) Bode, Saginaw, Michigan. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Paula K. Paulin, son Duane Wachholz, two sisters, Clara Kahrs and Arvilla(Page) Wiese and one brother Roland.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 3 to 7 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Lester Fritz officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Black Wolf.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
