Bette Jane Howard

Bette Jane Howard, age 84, formerly of 55 N. Portland St, Fond du Lac, died Friday, December 21, 2007 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on July 7, 1923 in Fond du Lac the daughter of Della (Ollerman) Encking. On October 23, 1943 she married Raymond J. Howard in Fond du Lac, Raymond was the former Fond du Lac County Sheriff and US Marshall. Bette worked as a bookkeeper for Dana and Worm. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary. SURVIVORS: Two children, Randall Howard of Fond du Lac, Debra Howard of Milwaukee, five grandchildren, Matthew, Grant, Michelle, Dori, and Dawn, five great-grandchildren, Shayla, Eli, Jenna, Chase, and Makena, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Raymond on April 18, 1992.



VISITATION: Wednesday, December 26, 2007 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Pilgrim United Church of Christ with the Reverend Edmond T. Drewsen III officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
