Betty A. Goldapske, 62, of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2011, at her home. She was born April 15, 1949, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Ervin and LaVerne Sterr Giese. She was a 1968 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School. On September 13, 1969, she married Lawrence P. Goldapske in Fond du Lac at Sacred Heart Church. For over 25 years, Betty was employed by Wendt's on The Lake as a waitress, and at Faro's Restaurant for the past six years. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, loudly cheering on the Packers and Badgers, and enjoyed playing internet games with others. She was also known as Betty Boop by many of her family and friends.Surviving is her husband, Lawrence, a son, Robert (Stephanie) Goldapske of Fond du Lac, a daughter, Tammy (Jerry) DeWan of Antigo, four grandchildren, Graciana and Liliana DeWan, and Thomas and Sophia Goldapske. A fifth grandchild, baby DeWan, is due in mid December. She is further survived by three sisters, Jane (Herman) Novak of Bella Vista, AR, Donna (Dale) Heinze of Fond du Lac, and Tess Grimes of Adell, WI, nine brothers, Leo (Colleen) Giese of West Palm Beach, FL, Bob (Maureen) Giese of Brown Deer, Dennis Giese of Fond du Lac, Pete (Cindy) Giese and Jerry (Mary) Giese, both of Fond du Lac, Joe Giese of Santa Anna, CA, Mark (Maria) Giese of Hacienda Heights, CA, David (Becky) Giese of Waupun, and Jim (Wanda) Giese of Fond du Lac. Her parents, a son, Larry "Jr.", a brother, Donald, and a sister, Sandy Tindall, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Betty A. Goldapske will be on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 3 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow traditional services and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
