Betty A. Loest

Betty A. Loest, 80, of Fond du Lac, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Liberty House in Fond du Lac. She was born November 1, 1933 in Green Lake, WI, the daughter of Edmund and Leone (Sasada) Mashock. On May 14, 1955, Betty married Dwaine Loest in Ripon, WI. She loved and spoiled her two Chihuahuas; Buddy and Pepper. Betty's favorite spot was Schriener's Restaurant in Fond du Lac where every day she and Dwaine would enjoy their breakfast. She was a member of Church of Peace.Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dwaine, a brother, Dennis, of Ripon, a sister, Karen (Tom) Engeldow of Tyler, TX and two sisters-in-law; Donna Loest of Brandon and Sinella Loest of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers-in-law; Melvin Loest and Ervin Loest, and a sister-in-law, Jackie Mashock.



A visitation for Betty will be held from 9:30 -11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler presiding. Burial will take place in Rosendale Cemetery.
