Betty Hendrixson LindsayBetty Hendrixson Lindsay, 85, formerly of Oshkosh, died Sunday, January 30, 2005, at Grancare Nursing Home. She was born September 21, 1919, in Buffalo, NY, a daughter of Albert A. and Anna Ohlson Schillo. On July 7, 1943, she married Philip R. Hendrixson in New York City. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1989. She later married Penn R. Lindsay in Hartland, WI on August 19, 1995. Mrs. Lindsay was a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology. She was employed by Niagara Falls Gas Company as a dietician. Her husband Philip worked for the Du Pont Company in Wilmington, DE and other locations. Upon his retirement, they moved to Hendersonville, NC where she was very active in the United Church of Christ, and also volunteered in the food pantry of the Interfaith Assistance Ministry. She and Penn Lindsay lived in Delaware before moving to Oshkosh. Mrs. Lindsay was a 43-year member of P.E.O., a philanthropic education organization. Surviving is a daughter, Elise (Sam) Barnhart of Fond du Lac, a son, Peter (Carolyn) Hendrixson of Minneapolis, MN, four grandchildren, Jennifer (Corey) Pelz of Franklin, WI, Julie (Hassan) Abdul-Wahid of Los Angeles, Philip (Kathy) Barnhart of Milwaukee, and Bradley (Noelle) Hendrixson of Dedham, MA, and a great-grandson, Kyle Samuel Pelz of Franklin, WI. Her parents, first husband, Philip, and a brother, Bert William Schillo preceded her in death.



Private family services will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2005.
