Betty J. Asen

On June 20, 2015, Betty Jane (Hackett) Asen, born in 1930 to Wilbur and Freida (Janke) Hackett and sister of Earl Hackett, left her earthly home on the wings of angels. She was mom and “Grandma Bug.” She loved with her whole heart and always wanted the best for her family. She always knew what to say and how to say it. She was wise, she was kind, and most of all, she was loved. Her love of family came first. Mom was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed her daily word search and never forgot a single birthday. There is not enough time or money to list all of the special things she did, all of the ways she touched our lives and made them better. She will be missed, she will be loved, and her legacy, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will go on and live each day with her love in their hearts.



Betty is survived by 10 children; Candace (Dennis) Cox, Kym (Cindy) Asen, Kelley (Tom) Campbell, Kevin (Laura) Asen, Kari (Dan) Patt, Korey Asen (Patti), Kristin Berendt (Dave), Keith (Paula) Asen, Kassie (Ray) Sheprow, and Kathy “Bug” (Steve) Pisaro; 22 grandchildren, Michael (Karla), Jeffrey (Melissa), Julie (Aaron), Sara, Chris (Sara), Brian (Beth), Jenny (Scott), Kim (Jim), Lanie (Tom), Bradley (Tina), Cody (Tina), Kayla (Matt), Jesse (Mandy), Casey (Kyle), Dusty (Tammy), Leah, Isaac, Mersaydee, Olivia, Riley, Brittany and Kyle; 27 great-grandchildren, Justine, Jacob, Nathan, Jaycee, Evy, Ally, Samuel, Zachary, Adriana, Grant, Brayden, Audrey, Rhys, Rhyan, Parker, Drake, Novella, Braelyn, Zurich, Adtly, Maddie, McKenna, Jacob, Emma, Makia, Amelia, Auron, and 3 baby boys due this summer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kit Asen, and her brother, Earl Hackett.



Visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Michael Johnson officiating.
