Betty J. Giese

Betty J. Giese, 90, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Liberty House in Fond du Lac. She was born July 30, 1925 in Eden, a daughter of Paul and Bernice (Baumhardt) Hoffman. On March 29, 1945, Betty married Melvin Giese in Campbellsport. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1969.



Betty will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was widowed early and devoted herself to her family.



She is survived by seven children; Rita (Al) Truitt of Suffolk, VA, Linda Giese of Salt Lake City, UT, Steven (Rose) of Philadelphia, PA, Bonnie Giese of Fond du Lac, Nancy (Ron) Weight of Magna, UT, Rob (Deb) of Fond du Lac and Richard of Hidalgo, TX; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Further surviving Betty is a brother, Paul, Jr., and 4 sisters; Alice, Doris, Dorothy and Shirley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Ruth Giese, sister, Violet Zimmerman, an infant brother, Donald and an infant sister, Loretta.



Visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev. Jennifer C.M. Dawson of Church of Peace, Fond du Lac officiating. Burial will then take place in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
