Betty Jean Streeter, 87, a resident of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, and formerly of 372 Boyd St., died Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was born on October 16, 1922, in Fond du Lac, to Lawrence E. and Edna Wade Krueger of Van Dyne, Wisconsin. A 1941 graduate of Fond du Lac High School, Betty worked as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Franklin elementary school. She later worked at Canvas Products; Wisconsin Tractor; and Tolibia Cheese.On September 21, 1946, Betty and Everett H. Streeter were united in marriage at St. Matthew's Methodist Church in Fond du Lac. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2006. Betty was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Fond du Lac. A talented musician, Betty's love of music was present throughout her life. As a young girl, she played the concertina and harmonica at Van Dyne Grange Hall meetings and the pump organ at the church near her childhood home south of Van Dyne. Betty loved classical music. The sound of her playing the piano or organ filled our home daily. From 1961-1962, Betty served as organist at Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. She also enjoyed taking classes at Marian University, Moraine Park Technical College and attending University of Wisconsin"“Madison summer music camp for piano teachers.Betty is survived by her daughter, Sue Ellen Dolfin; and her sister, Carol Kosloske. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Everett; and two infant children, Suzanne Jean and David John; and son-in-law Jay.



Visitation: Visitation for Mrs. Betty J. Streeter will be from 9:30am-11:00am on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home in Fond du Lac, WI. Services: Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean W. Desilet will officiate, and entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac, WI.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Salem United Methodist Church of Fond du Lac or Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in memory of Betty J.
