She was born on May 8, 1941 in Lansing, IL the daughter of Gerrit and Gertrude (Witvoet) Huizenga Sr. She was a graduate of Illiana Christian High. On June 12, 1964 she married Frederick G. Turnes in Lansing, IL. They lived in Sauk Village, IL for fifteen years before moving to Wisconsin. Betty worked for RE Phelon in Lomira. She also was working for Tecre out of her home. She formerly worked for the Action Advertiser. She enjoyed crafts and reading.SURVIVORS: her husband, Frederick G. of Fond du Lac, four children, April (Glenn) Ebert of Campbellsport, John (Jody) Turnes of Waupun, Craig (Tammy) Turnes of Fond du Lac, Frederick J. Turnes of Fond du Lac, eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Shane, Kyle, and Kelsea Ebert, Shawn, Justin, Brady, EvaJo, Ryer Turnes, Hunter and Dakota Turnes, one brother, Gerrit (Mae) Huizenga of Florida, ten nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James and Robert Huizenga.



VISITATION: Friday, November 10, 2006 from 3:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, November 10, 2006 at 7:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Virginia Pych officiating. Burial will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
