Betty Jane "Bimmie" AbrahamBetty Jane "Bimmie" Abraham, 76, of 216 Auburn Street, joined God's angels on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at her home with her family by her side. Bim was born on July 4, 1928, in Fond du Lac, in the house on the corner of the street she presently lives on, a daughter of Steve and Hattie Ziebell Lietz. Bimmie was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. She worked at Wells Manufacturing where she met her husband, Marvin Raymond Abraham. They were married at the Church of Peace on February 28, 1948. Mrs. Abraham was a member of the Church of Peace. Bim enjoyed art, music, theater, working on crossword puzzles, and collecting angel statues and cow figurines. She loved tending her gardens and flowers. Bimmie especially loved caring and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always there for everyone and will always be the sunshine of our lives. Survivors include her husband, Marvin "Abe", two daughters, Sandra West and Robin (Tom) Letourneau, all of Fond du Lac, six grandchildren, Randall (Brenda) West, Melissa (Kurt) Linjer, Ryan West, Rockne (Betsy Weis) West, and Amber and Sara Letourneau, all of Fond du Lac, four great-grandchildren, Madison Robien, Zachary West, Aspen and Gavin Linjer. She is further survived by a sister, Delores Hanson of Fond du Lac, three brothers, Robert Lietz of Malone, Ronald (Patty) Lietz of Fond du Lac, and Donald (Sharon) Lietz of Titusville, FL. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Lucille Rickert of Oshkosh, and LaVerne (Forrest) Wolf and Irma Draves, all of Fond du Lac, and three brothers-in-law, Clarence Abraham of Fond du Lac, Norbert Abraham of Boston, MA, and Orville (Nancy) Abraham Sr. of Fond du Lac. Bim was preceded in death by her parents, a niece, Cheri Bachaus, a godson, Chad Warner, her mother and father-in-law, Alfred and Esther Abraham Sr., two brothers-in-law, Lawrence and Alfred Abraham, Jr., and a sister-in-law, Rhea Redmond.
Visitation for Mrs. Betty Jane "Bimmie" Abraham will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, from 1 to 4 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 4 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Virginia Pych will officiate. Thursday burial services will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
