Betty L. Barta

Betty L. Barta, age 75 formerly of Oakfield and of 524 Water Street, Chilton, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton. She was born in Town of Calumet, Fond du Lac County on February 15, 1932 the daughter of Emil and Louisa Freund Gerner. On September 30, 1950 Betty married Raymond F. Barta at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. Ray preceded her in death on May 7, 2005. Betty enjoyed playing bingo and being a helping hand to friends and family. She especially liked playing dominos with the grandchildren.Survivors include five children, Daniel (Luana) Barta, Green Valley, AZ, David (Sharon) Barta, Rosendale, Donald (Darlene) Barta, Chilton, Donna (Rick) Kloehn, New Holstein,and Debra (David)Resler,Sturgeon Bay, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Elroy Gerner, Portage, and Don (Rosie) Gerner, Minnesota. Her parents, husband, five brothers, Emmett, Robert, Sylvester, Lester, Corbin, one sister, Lou Harlow preceded her in death.



VISITATION: Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Liturgy of The Word Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the funeral home with Reverend Joseph Coerber officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment at Tisch Mills at a later date."Special thanks to the medical staff of Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, Appleton Medical Center, Appleton and the Dialysis Center, Kaukauna."Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
