Beverly D. Mertes

Beverly D. Mertes, 70, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Frank G. and Genevieve E. Haroldson Wiedenmeier on January 25, 1936 in Fond du Lac. On February 12, 1955 Beverly married Henry B. Mertes, Jr. in Fond du Lac. Beverly attended Fond du Lac High School and then received an Associate Degree from Moraine Park Technical College in May of 1989 as a Civil Engineering Technician. She was employed by Wisconsin Telephone Company, Woolworths, Famous Footwear and B&H Footwear, and later worked for Kohl's Department Store retiring in 1998. Beverly enjoyed playing cards with her card club, crocheting, reading and had a love for dolphins. SURVIVORS: Husband for 51 years, Henry B. Mertes, Fond du Lac; four children, Sherry Saiki of Brown Deer and her children, Daniel and Deanna; Jewell (Steve) Ehlert, Waukesha and their children, Jennifer, Sydney and Nicole; Tammy (John) Guelig, Dotyville; and Henry Mertes, III, Fond du Lac and his children Gabrielle, Alyssa and Skylar; a sister Marilynn (Cecil) Adamson, Salt Lake City, UT; a half sister Shelly Reifer, Wautoma and a half brother, Joseph (Mary) Wiedenmeier, Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Karen Wiedenmeier.



VISITATION: Monday, June 12, 2006, from 4-8PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 9AM until the time of service at the funeral home.SERVICE: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 10AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Callies officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.Beverly will be missed by many friends and family. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
