Blanche M. Mackenzie

Blanche M. MacKenzie, age 94, formerly of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Terova Senior Living in Mequon, WI. She was born on August 28, 1927, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Ervin and Susan (Nettekoven) Sweet. Blanche attended St. Joseph’s Grade School, Fond du Lac Senior High School, and then St. Agnes School of Nursing. On December 10, 1949, she married James R. Mackenzie in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2007. Blanche enjoyed reading, knitting, camping, music, nature, birds, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.



Survivors include her children, Diane (Howard) Wagan, James Mackenzie and ex-wife Susan Mackenzie, Suzanne (Timothy) Cunningham; former daughter-in-law, Diane (Tom) Bogenhagen; seven grandchildren, James (Cara) MacKenzie, Rob (Alyssa) Mackenzie, Alexa (Kevin) MacKenzie Gorjanc, Patrick MacKenzie, Colleen (Stephen) Cunningham Mealy, Ian Wagan, Jonah Wagan; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; James; two sisters.



Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 10:30-11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed on ueckerwitt.com.



The family requests everyone in attendance must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mackenzie Wagan Camp Interlaken JCC Staff Scholarship Fund at c/o Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, 6255 North Santa Monica Blvd, Milwaukee, WI, 53217-4353, or a charity of ones choice.
