Bonya J. "Bonnie" Steffen

Bonya J. "Bonnie" Steffen, 69, of N7861 Lakeshore Drive, Town of Friendship, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home. She was born March 2, 1941, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Lauristan and Mabel Blau Stevens. Bonnie was a 1959 graduate of Goodrich High School. On April 1, 1959, she married William J. Steffen, Jr. in Menominee, MI. Bonnie was formerly employed by Red Owl, A.C. Nielsen, Osco, Kentron, and Lauers Foods. She later founded Memory Lane Antiques. She loved going to auctions and was known as the "Jewelry Lady." Surviving is her husband, Bill, three sons, Stephen and Scott Steffen, both of Fond du Lac, and Richard of North Fond du Lac, a granddaughter, Cheyenne Steffen of Fond du Lac, and two brothers, Stuart (Gertrude) Blau of Fond du Lac, and Daryl (Norma) Blau of Hampton, VA. Her parents and a brother, Charles Stevens, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Bonya J. "Bonnie" Steffen will be on Thursday, February 10, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and cremation will follow the services with inurnment in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
