Bruce W. Lawrence

Bruce W. Lawrence, 85, of 245 North Brook Street, Fond du Lac, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007 at All About Life Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born the son of Harlow and Hazel Dreier Lawrence on March 2, 1922 in North Fond du Lac. During the 1930's Bruce was stationed at Camp Blackwell working as a radio operator in the CCC camp. Bruce was stationed in Bovingdon, England, serving in the US Air Force during WWII as a radio operator on a B17 bomber. On November 21, 1944 he married Esme L. Henry in London, England. He was employed by Giddings and Lewis for 17 years and later worked for PerMar Security. He was an amateur radio enthusiast, where he held the call signs: W9MEP, K9AFI, WY9L and N9KF. He was also a past member of the Fond du Lac Amateur Radio Club.SURVIVIORS: his wife of 63 years, Esme; four children, Maureen (Mike) Simon, Whitewater, Ronde (John) Zoelle, Fond du Lac, Michael (Michelle) Lawrence, Omro, David Lawrence, Thailand; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Steven Michael Simon and one great grandchild, Peter Anthony Miller.



VISITATION: will be from 1 "“ 2 PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr.
