Burton Fay Holstein Iii

October 31, 1972 — September 27, 2022

The world lost a good man. Burton Fay Holstein III, 49, has passed on unexpectedly in Fond du Lac Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Burt was born on October 31, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois to father, Burton Fay Holstein, Jr. and mother, Jacqueline Hugg. He was blessed with a large family – being the oldest of 7 children while having 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Burt grew up with most of his childhood spent in the city of Chicago until his father and stepmother, Cherie, decided to move to the country in 1989. This is where Burt met his former spouse, Catina. The two would go on to get married and move to Wisconsin in between the births of their 5 daughters. Those daughters became Burt’s pride and joy. Wisconsin and it’s people became his permanent home.

Burt was a remarkably interesting, passionate, and a social man. He was sure to never allow too many dull moments in our lives – whether he was around or not. He was well-known in many circles, easily making friends in every community of which he was a part. Burt found enjoyment in spending his time cooking/grilling, being in nature – whether that was exploring the North Woods or having regular bonfires, watching the Packer games, and sharing all these moments with his friends or growing family, especially his daughters and grandchildren.

Burt was someone who cared for his people. He was loyal, giving and had a giant, fun and loving heart under that tougher exterior and reputation. It was for all these reasons, with all the experiences that came with it, that his presence in our lives was so massive and gripping. There was no one like him. His departure will leave a void that will be forever felt, and he will never be forgotten. His memory will live on with us in the endless stories we all have to share.

Burt has waited many years to join his first and late daughter, Candy Faye Holstein, and the time has now come for them to be reunited.

Burt is survived by his former spouse, Catina; his daughters, Kayla, Angel, Samantha, and Tori; his father, Burton; mother, Jackie; stepmother, Cherie; his grandchildren, Candii, Ahamanii, Carlii, Kodie, Rameses, Karson, Silvia and Ahktaviia; his sisters, April, Amy and Jennifer; his brothers, Frank, Eric and Brandon. He is also survived by his niece, Alyssa; along with many other nieces and nephews and their children; his aunts and uncles; childhood best friends/cousins, Michael, Gary and Allen; as well as many other cousins and family friends.

There will be a celebration of life for Burton Holstein III on October 29, 2022. Please contact his family or close friends for any additional details.

Rest easy, Burt. Thank you for everything. We love you.
