Carita A. Behr

February 14, 1914 — August 7, 2008

Carita A. Behr, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Villa Loretto Nursing Home, where she resided the past seven years. She was born on Valentines Day, February 14, 1914 in Sheboygan County, the daughter of Henry and Mary Van de Loo Scharinger. On April 18, 1942 she married Herman J. Behr in Sheboygan County and he preceded her in death in 1996. Carita moved to Waldo where she raised her family and worked as a cook in a restaurant with her sister in Sheboygan Falls. She then worked in the kitchen at the Sheboygan Medical Complex until she retired. She enjoyed being with her family, spending time with the grand-kids, baking treats, going to church and watching TV, especially game shows.SURVIVORS: Carita will be dearly missed by her three sons, Raymond Behr, Cleveland, WI, Richard (Brenda) Behr, Glenbeulah, WI and Roger (Carol) Behr, Taycheedah, WI; five grandchildren, Jenny (Terry) Walker, Mike Behr (Special friend, Sara), Brian (Rachel) Behr, David (Carrie) Behr, Robert (Michelle) Behr. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and all of the many friends that she has made over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman, one brother, Robert Scharinger, three sisters, Josephine Winter, Katherine Lemmermann and Nora Scharinger.



At Carita's request, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place.The family would especially like to thank the staff and medical care technicians at Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mt. Calvary. They have given wonderful care and treated her like a guest during her stay over the past seven years. Thanks to all of her friends from back home, who always wrote letters, sent cards and came to visit.
