Carolyn Eversole died as she lived her life, with grace and a smile on her face. She was the epitome of the mother that everyone wished for and the grandmother that few get to love for so long. She will be missed by all those she touched with her willing kindness, her contagious laugh, and open heart.
Carolyn died on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 14, 1935, a daughter of Jordan and Margaret (Kuhns) Richman. On July 26, 1953, Carolyn married her soulmate, Joseph Eversole. During their 68 years of marriage, they were often seen laughing and holding hands.
She is survived by her daughters - Terri (Ron) Emanuel and Traci (Ann) Eversole, her sons - Richard (Sheila) Eversole, Tim Eversole, Todd (Tami) Eversole, her brother – Steve (Kathy) Richman, sister-in-law – Mary Lou (Sonny) Watkins, and brother-in-law – Tom (Jackie) Eversole, 24 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband - Joseph Eversole, on August 26, 2021, her parents - Jordan and Margaret Richman, two daughters – Tanya Eversole and Trina Jeffries, her sister – Jackie Parish, and her daughter-in-law – Miranda Eversole.
Her greatest gift was making everyone feel special, with the tenderness she offered wherever she went.
A gathering of remembrance will be held at a place Mother loved, Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan Street, in Fond du Lac, from 12:00 – 2:30pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Private family services will follow the gathering. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the Joseph and Carolyn Eversole Legacy Fund has been established at National Exchange Bank and Trust in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
