Carolyn L. Muckerheide, 67, of St. Cloud, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. She was born the daughter of Merlin J. and Florence S. Baganz Hodorff on July 23, 1941 in Fond du Lac. On October 11, 1980 she married Eugene "Mike" R. Muckerheide. Carolyn was currently employed as a CNA at Villa Rosa, Mt. Calvary, she also worked at All About Life Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac as a CNA. Carolyn worked as a Secretary; for Plumbers Union Local 75 in Milwaukee for many years, then at Steenberg Mobile Homes, Fond du Lac. Carolyn also waitressed at Party Palace in Dotyville. She was a past board-member of Wolf Lake Association. Carolyn was a fun loving person always ready to lend a helping hand to whoever needed her. She liked to take over and take care of things. Her passions were her dogs, Casey & Murphy, the Green Bay Packers, gardening, traveling, sewing and camping.SURVIVORS: Wife of Eugene "Mike" Muckerheide for 29 years. Dearly loved mother of Deb (Ed) Leonard, Dotyville; adoring and adored grandmother of Eddie Leonard. Beloved sister of Betty (Rick) Snyder, Eden; and Marilyn (David) Krueger, North Fond du Lac; also survived by sisters-in-law, Kathy Hodorff and Sharon Hodorff of Fond du Lac, Ruth Muckerheide, Mt. Calvary and Patricia Wichman, Cambria, CA; 3 step-children, Jim (Sue) Muckerheide, Sussex; Steve (Barb) Muckerheide, Delafield; Denise (Phil) Dickenson, Colorado; 7 step-grandchildren, including Amanda, Hannah and Kayla, whom she was especially close to. Carolyn is also survived by former husband, Darwin F. Flitter, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many god-children and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim Hodorff in 2006 and Dennis Hodorff in 2008.
VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10 "“ 11 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services with inurnment in St. Charles Cemetery at a later date.
