Casper G. “Cap” Amrhein, age 85, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Villa Loretto Nursing Home. He was born on January 8, 1936, in Fond du Lac, the son of Clarence and Dorothea (Smith) Amrhein. He graduated from Goodrich High School and entered the United States Army at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. He married Catherine “Casey” Christ in 1977. She preceded him in death in April of 2021. Cap started Amrhein Delivery with his brother Chuck later helping. Cap then worked at G&L until retirement. He loved the Green Bay Packers, going to Cedar Lodge, traveling, and he loved laughing and life in general.
Survivors include his sons, Gary (Joanne) Amrhein, Bradley Amrhein; one brother, Chuck (Dorothy) Amrhein; one sister, Judith Henes; sister-in-law, Jean (Tom) Lambeseder; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Casey Amrhein; two brothers, Orlin (Joanne) Amrhein, Frank (Edna) Amrhein; one sister, Catharine “Cathy” (John) Eggers; his former wife and mother of his children, Jewell Amrhein; infant son, Gregory.
There will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place.
