Catherine A. Fox

Catherine A. Fox, 90, formerly of Fond du Lac, and currently a resident of Willow Park Residence of New Holstein, died Monday, April 04, 2011, at her residence. She was born February 2, 1921, in St. Anna, the daughter of John and Rosa Sabel Mayer. On September 30, 1941, she married Lawrence R. Fox in St. Anna. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1994. Catherine was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was formerly employed by Americana Healthcare Services, currently Manor Care Health Services. She loved gardening and did volunteer work for the Salvation Army. Surviving is a daughter, Karen (Fiancé' Tom Lemiesz) Fox of Malone, two sons, Gerald Fox and Allen Fox, both of Steamboat Springs, CO, four sisters, Alma Halleman of Florida, Ernestine Fox of Beaver Dam, Dorothy (Jerome) Fox of Fond du Lac, and Janet (Ralph) Novitske of Green Lake, nieces and nephews. She is further survived by four sisters-in-law, Vi Bohlman , Gen Junaitis, Mary Wagner, and Bernice Evenson, all of Fond du Lac, and two brothers-in-law, Jerome (Dorothy) Fox and Elmer (Ruth) Fox, both of Fond du Lac. Her husband and seven brothers and sisters preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Catherine A. Fox will be on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Friday, April 8th, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM at the church on Friday. The Rev. Robert Stiefvater will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
