Celestine J. "C. J." Will

Celestine J. "C.J." Will, 91, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home since September of 2010, died on Monday, March 21, 2011. He was born June 15, 1919, in Fond du Lac, the son of Herman and Frances Lefeber Will. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1937. On September 27, 1942, he married Lucille D. Brown at St. Michaels Church in Dotyville. He and his wife owned and operated the Log Tavern Market on Highway 23 East, and later started Will's Meat Market in 1960. He was then employed by Moore Ambulance Service, and later was employed by Mercury Marine for over 15 years. In the 1960's, he served with the Fond du Lac County Deputy Sheriff's Association. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Chapter #640, and a former member of St. Michael's of Dotyville Holy Name Society. He and his wife enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.Surviving is a daughter, Marcia (Richard) Kotnick of Fond du Lac, two sons, Gary Will of Jacksonville, FL, and Dean (Rebecca) Will of Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren; Mary Claire Miller, Jeff Miller, Mary Fran Will, Daniel and Andrew Will, Jeff (Lori) Kotnick, Tricia (Jason) Fridley, Chelsey Will, and Logan Will, three great-grandsons, Fisher Kotnick, Tucker Kotnick, and Oliver Kotnick, a great-granddaughter, Lucy Fridley, and a sister, Mary Alice Sloboda of Chicago. His parents, two brothers, Joe and Melvin, and a sister, Pat Mihm, preceded him in death



Visitation for Mr. Celestine "C.J." Will will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 9 to 11 AM at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fond du Lac. Private family Liturgy of The Word for Christian Burial services will be held following the visitation. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and cremation will follow the services.
