Charles Anthony Nett, 52, of St. Peter, passed away at Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac, on Sunday, June 28, 2009 after battling a two month illness. He was born the son of Francis and Lucille "Umy" Braun Nett on Dec. 31, 1956 in Fond du Lac.On October 1, 1977, he married Karen Nett of Marytown at the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Marytown. Chuck was currently working cutting lawns and landscaping for Preferred Landscapes, a business that he started with his wife in 1988. He was previously employed at Badger Liquor and Reupings Leather, both in Fond du Lac. In 1998, after being diagnosed with having polycystic kidney disease and undergoing dialysis for a number of years, Chuck received a new lease on life when he was the recipient of a kidney transplant in Madison, WI. Chuck enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching old TV shows, doing various projects around the house and joking around with friends. Survivors include his wife, Karen; one son, Tim, St. Peter; two daughters, Tina (Aaron) Hanna and Angie, both of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by his mother, Lucille "Umy", St. Peter; one brother, Francis (Evelyn) Nett, Milton, WI; sister-in-law, Kay Nett, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Chuck is further survived by his father-in-law, Elmer Nett, Marytown; brother-in-law, Gerald Nett, Stockbridge; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Janice) Nett, Charlesburg; together with their families.He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Steve, mother-in-law Esther Nett and sister-in-law, Joy Nett.
Visitation: Will be held from 4 "“ 7 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A short prayer service will be held at 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
