Charles E. Pike, age 80, of 89 Meadowbrook Blvd, Fond du Lac, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on May 29, 1928 in Oxford, WI, the son of Freeman and Octa (Wohlfert) Pike. On April 19, 1952 he married Barbara Schleicher. She preceded him in death on December 23, 1974. On October 12, 1975 he married Margaret Nafziger. Chuck was an elder of First Presbyterian Church where he was also involved in the endowment committee, committee for the new organ, committee for the new church, and the art committee. He was a member of Rotary Club and also Past President, and received the Paul Harris Award. Chuck was on the board at the Salvation Army. He was active with the Red Cross. Chuck worked for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He became an agent on March 1, 1950, he became district agent in January of 1958, and he became a senior agent in June of 1993. Chuck was President of the National District Agents Association in 1976-77. Chuck enjoyed fishing and golfing.SURVIVORS: his wife Margaret of Fond du Lac, two children, Jeff (Michelle) Pike of Charlottesville, VA, Paula Pike of Milwaukee, three grandchildren, Siena Pike, Jackson and Paul Dumanch, two step-children, Cheryl Nafziger of WA, Richard (Kristin) Nafziger of Olympia, WA, two step-grandchildren, Tess and Mia, one step-great-granddaughter, Luna, one sister, Faye Mosigin of Madison, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Barbara.



VISITATION: Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Monday, April 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 1225 4th St. Rd, Fond du Lac, with the Reverend Anthony Farina officiating. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery.Memorial may be directed in Chuck's name to First Presbyterian Church.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
