Charles F. Gray

Charles F. Gray Jr, age 72, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on May 6, 1939 in Milwaukee, the son of Charles F. Gray Sr. and Marie (Hafner) Gray. Marie passed away when Chuck was eight and he was raised by his father and his step-mother, Charmaine (Frank) Gray. On June 7, 1958 Chuck married Charlotte "Chuckie" Christie at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. Chuck served in the United States Air Force for five years.Chuck worked for the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department for twenty years in the Deputy Sheriff's Reserves. He also worked for forty-two years at Mercury Marine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting wolf memorabilia, especially the grey wolf.SURVIVORS: his wife, Charlotte, three daughters, Dawn (Joe) Pellegrino of Jacksonville, FL, Sandra Karst of Jacksonville, FL, Susan Harrison of Cherry Valley, IL, four grandchildren, Sara Johnson, Wesley Weber, Jason Karst, and Andrew Weber Pellegrino, three great-grandchildren, Hennessey Johnson, Aliz'e Karst, Reimie Johnson, one sister, Linda (Ted) Heidl of Oshkosh, two brothers, Mike (Dar) Gray of Oshkosh, Wayne (Brenda) Gray of Oshkosh, sisters in law, Diane (Wayne) Strehlow of Waupun, Carolyn (Chuck) Schwebke of Van Dyne, Mary(Gary) Gray of Oshkosh, WI.; brother in law, Bruce (Becky) Christie of Fond du Lac, a very special niece, Deb (Don) Miles of Waupun, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary Gray, one sister, Debbie Gray.



VISITATION: Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 5-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 8:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
