Charles W. "Chuck" Burnett

Charles "Charlie" W. Burnett, 70 of St. Peter, died Friday, August 10, 2012 in Dodge County. He was born on June 8, 1942 in Fond du Lac the son of Harris and Cecelia Brockway Burnett. On December 15, 1979 he married Nancy J. Harrer in Fond du Lac. Nancy preceded him in death on July 1, 2001. Charles was a graduate of Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force at Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany serving from 1964-68 as a staff sergeant. He was owner/operator of Scott & Main Service. Charles was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No.75, Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie No.270 and the Shelby Club of America. Charles enjoyed Ford automobiles.SURVIVORS: Charles is survived by his daughter Holly (Shawn) Halfman, Fond du Lac, two grandchildren; Adrienne Burnett and Hailey Onufrey. Further survived by brothers and sisters; Shirley (James) Kramer, Fond du Lac, David (Darlene) Burnett, Mered, CA, Linda (Thomas) O'Connor, Fond du Lac, Terry (Gigi) Burnett, Fond du Lac, sister-in-law Judy Reinke, North Fond du Lac, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Nancy.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 4-8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Baptist Church, 645 Forest Avenue, Fond du Lac. Reverend Brian Hastings will officiate. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military services. Cremation will follow the traditional services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
