Charlie B. Beardsley

Charles B. "Charlie" Beardsley, 81, of 144 Arvey Lane, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. Francis Home. He was born March 14, 1929, in Little Rock, AR, the son of Charles B. and Evelyn Sharpe Beardsley I. After attending Andover Prep School in Andover, Massachusetts, he graduated from Central High School in Little Rock, AR. He graduated from University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and later received his Masters of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. On May 10, 1952, he married Betty L. Peeples in Memphis, TN. Charlie was a Vice President with Sadoff Iron and Metal for over 30 years, and for the past 20 years was President and CEO of his own local business, Aluminum Resources, Inc. He was a member of South Hills Golf and Country Club, Elks Lodge #57, Noon Rotary Club, and for over 30 years was a member of Fond du Lac Community Theater. Surviving is his wife, Betty, a son, Charles B. "Chuck" (Maria) Beardsley III of Scotch Plains, NJ, a daughter, Betsy (Partner James Richey) Beardsley of Milwaukee, two grandchildren, Sofia and Alana, and his grand puppy, Bettina Louise. He is further survived by a sister, Mana (Edwin) Nash of Dallas, TX, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death.



Visitation for Charles B. "Charlie" Beardsley will be on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from 3 to 6:30 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 6:30 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. The Rev. Michael Morning will officiate. Cremation has taken place. The family requests that memorials be directed to either the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac, or the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, 384 N. Main Street, Fond du Lac.
