Charlotte A. Gray

Charlotte A Gray, 84, of Fond du lac, died peacefully on June 10 , 2023 at Lake View Place in Fond du lac. She was born on January 3, 1939, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Orville Christie and Dorothy (Krenn) Christie. On June 7, 1958, Charlotte “Chuckie” married Charles “Chuck” Gray Jr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. After her husband served 5 years in the Air Force stationed in Texas, Chuckie and Chuck moved back to Fond du Lac and had lived there ever since. Charlotte worked at Wright Brothers for many years. Most of her time was spent being a devoted wife, and mother to her three daughters. She was very active in her church serving loaves and fishes. Chuckie loved to play cards, Farkle and Yahtzee and if possible loved shopping even more, some would say she could outlast anyone shopping. Chuckie so loved her dog, Blackjack and her cat, Foxy. She looked forward to springtime to see all her flowers bloom, especially the yellow rose bush that bloomed every year on their anniversary.

She is survived by her three daughters, Dawn (Joe) Pellegrino of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Sandra Karst of Orange Park, Fla., and Susan Fagan of Rockford, IL: four grandchildren, Sara Johnson, Wesley Weber (Liz), Jason Karst (Georgia) and Andrew Weber Pellegrino, all of Fla; five great- grandchildren, Hennessay Johnson, Aliz’e Karst, Reimie Johnson, Martel Johnson, Weston Weber and Jackson Weber. Also, survived by 2 sisters, Dianne (Wayne) Stehlow of Waupun, WI; Carolyn (Chuck) Schwebke of Hancock, WI and a brother, Bruce (Becky) Christie of Fond du Lac, WI; a very close niece, Deb (Don) Miles of Oshkosh, WI and many more nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Chuckie was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; and both her parents, Orville and Dorothy Christie.

VISITATION: Relatives and friends may call on Chuckie’s family on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave., Fond du Lac. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 6:00 PM, following the visitation at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Private family entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
