CHARMAINE "CHERE'"A. VANDE BERGCharmaine "Chere'" A. Vandeberg, age 75, of 370B Southlake Circle, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on May 22, 1930 in Oshkosh the daughter of Nathan A. and Effie L. Rowen Petermann. On April 29, 1950 she married Theodore "Ted" Vande Berg at Grace Reformed Church, Fond du Lac. Charmaine was a graduate of Goodrich High School Class of 1948 and a 1969 graduate of MPTI receiving a degree in practical nursing. She worked at Infant Socks from 1949 until 1966 and later was a licensed practical nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Agnes Hospital from 1970 to 1985. She was a member of Grace Reformed Church, it's choir, the Ladies Guild, Sunday School Teacher, Director of the Junior Choir, and Youth Counselor. She was a charter member and officer of the Fond du Lac Geological Society. She served as a representative of the church women, also served on the Board of the Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurses. She loved story writing for her children, grandchildren, and also enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, genealogy, and loved nature.SURVIVORS: her husband Theodore "Ted" Vande Berg of Fond du Lac, two sons, Theodore (Sally) Vande Berg Jr. of Tucson, AZ, Thomas (Joy) Vande Berg of Des Moines, IA, one daughter, Catherine Ann (Dennis) Sprik of Las Vegas, NV, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Sprague of Appleton, four brothers, Nathan (Mary) Petermann of Oshkosh, Dale Petermann of Oshkosh, David Petermann of Green Bay, Ralph (Mary Jo) Petermann of Brookfield, her mother, Leone Petermann, Oshkosh, and Lorraine (Tony) Golla, Oshkosh. She was preceded her in death by her father, one sister, Jackie, a brother Wayne, granddaughter, Leah.
VISITATION: Thursday, October 27,2005 from 4-8 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Friday, October 28,2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Reformed Church. Reverend Barry Vegter will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. on Friday to the time of services.A memorial is being established.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
