Christine A. Koenen

Christine A. Koenen, 55, of 428 of South County W, Mt. Calvary, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born October 17, 1949, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Clifton "Skip" and Esther Meyer Ring. On September 7, 1970, she married Edwin A. Koenen Jr. at St. Lawrence Seminary Chapel in Mt. Calvary.Mrs. Koenen was a 1967 graduate of Markesan High School. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Koenen's Restaurant and Fond du Lac Mattress Company. She was also formerly employed by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department. Christine was a very active volunteer for the Elizabeth Waters Parent Teacher Organization, and the Fond du Lac Exchange Club during the International Aerobatic Competition. Surviving is her husband, Edwin, a daughter, Tina L. Koenen of Indianapolis, IN, a son, Edwin A., Fiancé Abigail Harris, Koenen of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and two sisters, Colleen and Orville Stobb of Markesan, and Cathi and Patrick McGowan of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by her beloved companions, Cinnamon and Knipper. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Christine A. Koenen will be on Saturday, May 21, 2005, from 11 am to 2:30 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of The Word services will be on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate. Cremation has taken place. A memorial in Mrs. Koenen's name has been established.
