Clarence C. Haensgen

Clarence C. Haensgen, 83, formerly of N8890 Mallard Lane, Gladstone Beach, and a resident of Woodlands Senior Park since March 7th of this year, joined the Lord in Heaven on Monday, May 12, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 10, 1925, in Johnsburg, the son of Louis and Mary Kirsten Haensgen. On April 6, 1948, he married Frances M. Olig at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. Clarence was a member of St. John's Church, the Holy Name Society, and Knights of Columbus Council #664. He served on the Calumet Fire Department for 36 years, was a member of the Johnsburg Redmen, and was a director of the Mount Calvary Mutual Insurance Company for 35 years. He also issued building permits for the Town of Calumet for thirty years. He was a farmer in Marytown for 38 years. After his retirement in 1988, he was employed by Silica Hardware. Surviving is his wife, Frances, three daughters, Judith (Donald) Simon and Eileen (David) Grebe, both of Fond du Lac, and Cynthia Haensgen of Little Chute and her fiancé', James Dethardt; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers, Sylvester Haensgen of Fond du Lac, Orville (Mildred) Haensgen of Johnsburg, and Alfred "Fritz" (Rosie) Haensgen of Gladstone Beach, one sister in law, Mary Agnes Haensgen, one brother in law, Ervin Bartel both of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. His parents, a son, Joseph, two brothers, Marvin and Leander, and a sister, Adell Bartel, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Clarence C. Haensgen will be on Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 3 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Friday, May 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Church-Johnsburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday at the church. The Rev. Joseph Coerber will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
