Claude M. Feldner

Claude M. Feldner, 96, formerly of Minawa Beach Road, Fond du Lac, died April 19, 2017 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born July 8, 1920, a son of Bert and Isabel (Voelker) Feldner. Claude attended St. Mary’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Goodrich High School. For a short time, he worked for Brauer’s Clothing Store in Appleton, before enlisting in the Marine Corps. He served 3 ½ years in the South Pacific, at Guadalcanal and the Philippines, obtaining the rank of Master Sargent.

Upon returning from service, Claude married Patricia Romaine of Fond du Lac on January 31, 1944. He then worked as manager of Brauer’s Clothing Store in Fond du Lac for 25 years. Following that, Claude worked for Hornung Pro Golf Sales in Fond du Lac as an over the road salesman for 30 years and a home office salesman for an additional five years before retiring completely in 1988.



He is survived by a son, John (Patricia) Feldner of Greenfield; a daughter, Claudia Winland of Fond du Lac; two grandsons, Christopher (Jennifer) Feldner and Andrew (Colleen) Feldner, both of Waukesha; one granddaughter, Sara (Jon Ellingson) Winland of Fond du Lac; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia in 1981; a brother, Herman; and sister-in-law, Jean Feldner.



A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #75.
