Clyde R. Fero, age 86, formerly of 43 N. Marr St, Fond du Lac, and currently a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1922 in Fond du Lac, the son of Edward and Ella (Behnke) Fero. In 1946 he married Virginia E. "Ginny" Krug. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2006. Clyde served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1947. He worked for thirty years at Northern Casket Company, and was a delivery truck driver for the Fond du Lac Board of Education. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball and bowling, and loved the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.SURVIVORS: two children, Richard (JoAnne) Fero of Fond du Lac, Beverly (Terry) Friday of Pine River, WI, four grandchildren, Cory Friday of Berlin, Michelle (Shawn) Sonnentag of Fond du Lac, Laura Zibolsky of Menasha, and Christy Zibolsky of Fond du Lac, nine great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Virginia.
VISITATION: Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. FUNERAL: Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
