Conrad John William Rickert, age, 96, a resident of Harbor House, and formerly of Highway OO, Town of Friendship, died there on Thursday, April 19, 2007. He was born March 12, 1911, in the Town of Eldorado, a son of Charles and Louise Rehwinkel Rickert. On September 6, 1933, he married Esther Elsie Martha Hackbarth at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac.Mr. Rickert was an active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. He spent most his life farming and also was a salesman for Fuller Brush and McNess Sales. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing and playing sheepshead at local community centers. He was a devoted member of the North Fond du Lac Senior Center.He is survived by one son, Darwin (Alice) Rickert of Oakfield, and a sister-in-law, Edna Rickert of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, Darvin (Alice) Rickert of Oakfield,John (Renee')Rickert of St. Peter, Keith (Susan) Rickert of Fond du Lac, Debra (Kurt) Parduhn of Oakfield, Patrick (Angela) Rickert of Ripon, Tammy Pflum of Rosendale, Darlene (Richard) Grahl of North Fond du Lac, Rhonda (Warren) Schwandt of Ripon, Brenda (Richard) Flier of Fox Lake, Bruce (Kris) Jahns of Ripon, and Kevin (Rachel) Jahns of Rosendale, a son-in-law, Ervin (Dorie) Jahns of Eldorado, 20 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Esther, on February 18, 1993, a daughter, Merna Bell, on February 18, 1988, his parents, a sister, Hilda Abraham, three brothers, Carl Rickert, Harold Rickert, and Eldor Rickert, a step-sister, one infant granddaughter, and two infant great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Conrad John William Rickert will be on Sunday, April 22, 2007, from 2 to 6 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, April 23, 2007, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm at the church. The Revs. Thomas Behnke and Michael Kampman will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
