Constance L. Kramer, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Monday in Fond du Lac on January 23, 2012. She was born April 14, 1923, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Loretta Molleson Beyer. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. Constance was formerly employed by the US Department of Agriculture, All Pets Magazine, Hornung Pro Golf, and retired from the Metropolitan Life Company. She was a life-time member of St. Mary's Church. On June 7, 1946, she married Robert J. Stephany in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1967. She later married Elden W. Kramer in Juneau, WI on April 20, 1974. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2009. She was a Girl Scout leader and was a member of the YMCA. Constance and Elden enjoyed traveling to Elderhostels and camping in their customized yellow van. Her other interests included gardening, knitting (many afghans for family members), cooking, and playing solitaire on the computer.Surviving are a daughter, Toni (Tom) Schell of Sparta, WI, two sons, John (Deb) Stephany of Oshkosh, WI, and Jim Stephany of Sydney, Australia, eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Sean) Severson, Benjamin (Lisa) Schell, Robert (Lisa) Schell, Chris (Nikki) Stephany, Kim (Tim) Theisen, April (Evan) Gidlof, Matt Blance-Stephany, and Robbie Blance-Stephany, eight great-grandchildren, a step-son, Stephen (Elizabethe) Kramer of Athens, OH, and two step-grandchildren, Davis Ann Kramer and Stephen Kramer. She is further survived by two sisters, Dolores Roberts of Nekoosa, WI, and Janet (Jerome) Jurgensmier of Sarasota, FL, a brother, David (Sandy) Beyer of Fond du Lac, two brothers-in-law, Harry Stephany of North Fond du Lac, and Gordon Schingen of Fond du Lac, and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine More and Ellen Kramer. Also surviving is a special friend, Ken Bakke, of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a sister, Marcia Schingen, and a brother-in-law, Ralph Roberts, and many of her Stephany and Kramer in-laws.
Visitation for Constance Kramer will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from 9 to 11 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of The Word for Christian Burial services will be at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services with inurnment of cremated remains in Calvary Cemetery.
