Conway F. "Barney" Schingen

Conway "Barnie" F. Schingen, age 78 of 271 Breister Avenue, died Friday, July 20, 2007 at his residence. He was born on March 13, 1929 in Woodhall the son of Fred and Hilda Duewe Schingen. On January 10,1952 he married Gayle E. Miller at the parsonage of St. Joseph's Church. Conway was a semi-truck driver working for Spector Trucking and later Bird Trucking driving millions of miles. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie No. 270, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.He is survived by his wife Gayle Schingen, Fond du Lac, four children, Lester (Nancy) Schingen, Fond du Lac, Jack (fiancé Debbie Unold) Schingen, Fond du Lac, Jill (Gary) Hebard, Fond du Lac, and Joy Miller, Appleton,six grandchildren, Brad Ruhnke, Neenah, Bob Schingen, Jason Schingen, Paige Schingen, Josh Schingen, Austin Schingen all of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by four brothers and sisters, Eileen (Robert) Hoey, Fond du Lac, Joan Andrews, Fond du Lac, Gordon (Marsha) Schingen, Fond du Lac, and Jerome (Bernadine) Schingen, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters, Robert Schingen, Evelyn Maniatis, Grace Schingen, Donald Schingen, and Jeanette Kaiser.



Friends may call on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the funeral home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate.
