CORBIN J. GERNER Corbin J. Gerner, age 85, formerly of 123 Rubina Lane, died Friday, July 22,2005 at Manorcare Health Services where he had been a resident for the past year. Corbin was born on January 23,1920 in Garnet, the son of Emil and Louisa Freund Gerner. On February 15,1947 he married Bernadine E. Ludwig at St. AugustineCatholic Church, Chilton. Corbin was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He was a control center operator for Wisconsin Power and Light for 36 years retiring in 1985. A member of Holy Family-St. Patrick's Parish, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino, and loved playing cards.SURVIVORS: wife Bernadine Gerner, resident of Manorcare Heatlth Services, Fond du Lac, four children, James (Nancy) Gerner, Brownsville, Judith (Paul) Schmitz, Malone, Joe (Kathy) Gerner, Fond du Lac and Joyce Reitz, Fond du Lac, nine grandchildren, Terry, Doug, Derek, Bob, Wendy, Brad, Emily, Jeremy, and Curt, nine great-grandchildren, two brother, Elroy Gerner, Wausaukee, Don (Rosie) Gerner, Minnesota, one sister, Betty Barta, Chilton. Corbin was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry, four brothers, Emmett, Robert, Sylvester, Lester, one sister, Lou Harlow.



VISITATION: Sunday, July 24, 2005 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P. M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: A Liturgy of The Word Service will be held Sunday, July 24,2005, at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Reverend John Radetski will officiate. Entombment Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside services.Memorials appreciated to Manorcare Health Services Arcadia Unit.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home Is Serving The Family.
