Corliss J. Christie

Corliss J. Christie, age 60, of North Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services surrounded by her family. She was born on January 17, 1955 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Kenneth and Bernice (Ollerman) Grimmer. She was a 1973 graduate of Goodrich High School and graduated from Moraine Park Technical College in 1975 with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. On July 2, 1976 Corliss met the love of her life John Christie. They were married on June 16, 1979 at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac and they spent the next thirty-six years together.



Corliss worked from 1975-80 at Rueping Leather and from 1980-90 at Mercury Marine. She then left there to raise her family. She loved bowling, the outdoors, camping, walks in the woods, gardening, riding her motorcycle, and her dogs. She spent seven years helping out with Cub Scouts when her boys were involved and she loved attending all of their sporting events. Her final passion was reading, Corliss loved reading. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making them feel special.



SURVIVORS: her husband John of North Fond du Lac; three sons, Bryan Christie of Fond du Lac, Jamie Christie of Fond du Lac, Kyle Christie of Madison; her sister, Kay (Lynn Hartmann) Grimmer of Fond du Lac; her brother, Chris (Lynn Richmond) Grimmer of Oakfield; brother in law, Steve Christie of Fond du Lac; sisters in law, Susan (Arnie) Roloff of North Fond du Lac, Barb (Ron) Spies of Fond du Lac, Elizabeth (Matthew) Koechel of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews, Stacie Christie, Julie (Andy) Ernst, Dr. Peter (Kelly) Roloff, Mark (Alivia) Roloff, Andrew (Angie) Roloff, Stacie Roloff, Erik (Michelle) Spies, Adam (Tracy) Spies, Emily Koechel, and Hannah Koechel; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother in law and father in law, Donald and Betty Christie; brother, Ken R. Grimmer; sister, Karen L. Grimmer; nephew, Thomas Roloff.



VISITATION: Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Interment will take place at a later date at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
