Cynthia "Jean" Smet

Cynthia "Jean" Smet, age 93, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on January 12, 1917 in Big Falls, WI the daughter of Theodore D. and Mabel L. (Raiman) McNinch. On May 25, 1935 she married Arnold A. Krohn. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1946. On April 10, 1948 she married Gilbert J. Smet in Fond du Lac. Jean worked at Infant Socks for twenty-five years retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Louis Church from 1952 until it's closing and was also a past member of the St. Anne Society. She also was a member of Holy Family Parish.SURVIVORS: her husband Gilbert of Fond du Lac, daughter in law, Lynette Krohn of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Randy (Laura) Krohn of Conover, WI, Diane (Mike) Knighton of Milwaukee, and Jim (Amy) Krohn of Milwaukee, four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Emily, Madison, her brother, Darwin (Dolores) McNinch of Oshkosh, sister in law, Nancy (Doug) McNinch of Fond du Lac, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, her son, Wayne Krohn, one sister and her husband, Marlys (Eugene) Curran, four brothers and their wives, Russell (Mildred) McNinch, Douglas McNinch, Harold (Joy) McNinch, and Gordon, (Eleanor) McNinch.



VISITATION: Monday, November 15, 2010 from 9-11 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 678 Western Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 678 Western Ave, Fond du Lac.
