Dale D. Barber

Dale D. Barber, 73, of N8419 Lakeshore Drive, Town of Friendship, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Manor Care Health Services. He was born in Fond du Lac on June 25, 1937, the son of Clarence and Gladys (Hersey) Barber. On December 14, 1985, he married Rosalie Tryon in Fond du Lac. Dale was a friendly, kind man who liked everyone. He formerly was employed by Tolibia Cheese Company, Fond du Lac Lumber, and Bemis Corporation in Oshkosh. In 1986, Dale and his wife started Barber Apartments and owned and managed rentals in Fond du Lac. Dale was a deer hunter in his early years, and a lifelong fisherman. He was a skilled woodworker and gifted family and friends with many wooden treasures. He loved to play cards and go to rummage sales and spend time with family and friends. He was a member of Grace Reformed Church. Surviving is his wife, two daughters, Phyllis (Brian) Smith of El Mirage, AZ, Donna (Steve) Funk of Fond du Lac, a son, Jeff (Judy) Barber, also of Fond du Lac, four step-s0ns, Lee (Georgeann) Tryon of Brandon, Ken (Sandy) Tryon and Mark (Maylean) Tryon, both of Fond du Lac, and Thomas (Donna) Tryon of Pewaukee, 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Eileen Barber and Sylvia Barber, both of Fond du Lac, and Betty Reznicek of Venice, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Eugene, Clarence Jr., and Rolland Barber.



Visitation for Mr. Dale D. Barber will be on Sunday, April 24, 2011, from 6 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue, Fond du Lac and again on Monday, April 25th, from 9 to 11 AM at Grace Reformed Church 163 E. 18th Street, Fond du Lac. Memorial services will be at 11 AM on Monday at the church.
