Dale L. O'Malley

Dale L. O'Malley, 82, of 414 N. National Avenue, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born May 14, 1928, in Fond du Lac, the son of T. Gilbert and Cora Fink O'Malley. On September 30, 1950, he married Kathleen Lindsley at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on January 9, 1998. After returning from service in 1956, he resided in Fond du Lac, later moving to Hoffman Estates, IL, and returned to Fond du Lac in 1990. He was employed as a carpet installer by several companies in the Hoffman Estates area. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1946 to 1955. Dale was a member of Holy Family Parish and Knights of Columbus #640. Surviving are three daughters, Catherine (Charles) Waits of Aurora, CO, Mary (Jim) Lyons of Milpitas, CA, and Patricia Cottone of Marengo, IL, a son, Thomas (Sheila) O' Malley of Crystal Lake, IL, and 8 grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Kathleen Brown of Fond du Lac, three sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Ed) Hackbarth of Dana Point, CA, Marge O'Malley of North Fond du Lac, and Ann O'Malley of Elgin, IL, and a brother-in-law, Robert (Dolly) Lindsley of Campbellsport. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers, Donald, Marvin, and Jack O'Malley



Visitation for Dale L. O'Malley will be on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, from 9 to 11 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 11 AM at the funeral home on Wednesday. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate. Committal services will be held at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery
