Rosendale

Dale R. Malson, 68, of Rosendale, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his residence after a courageous five-year battle with kidney cancer. Born on January 13, 1957, in Fond du Lac, he was the son of Milton and Nancy (Rieder) Malson.

Dale lived a life filled with passion and energy. He was a true enthusiast of anything that went fast, from MOPAR cars and NHRA racing to motorcycles. His love for speed was matched only by his love for music, playing guitar, and his appreciation for photography. Dale had an eye for history and enjoyed collecting military memorabilia and model diecasts. His curiosity extended beyond his hobbies, and he was known as an excellent conversationalist. Whether discussing politics, religion or diving into scientific ideas, Dale loved engaging with others and sharing his thoughts.

Above all, Dale was a devoted Christian whose unwavering faith in God guided him through life. He was always ready to share his beliefs and his love for God with those around him, offering wisdom, comfort, and strength to friends and family.

Family was Dale’s greatest treasure. He cherished spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, and his heart was always open to those who called him a friend. Dale is survived by his life partner of 33 years, Collen McAbee, along with his children, Jessica (Michael) Brantmeier and step-daughter Janelle (Tony) Albertz, will carry forward his legacy of love and faith. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Andi Albertz, Thornton Albertz, Bryce (Hannah) Albertz, Ryan Brantmeier, and Tyler Brantmeier; three great-grandchildren, Novi, Arya, and Lunette; his stepfather, Don Feyen; stepmother, Dorothy Malson; siblings, Daniel (Deborah) Malson, DuWayne Malson, and Dixie (Terry) McGinnis; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Malson and Nancy Feyen; maternal and paternal grandparents; two stepbrothers, Todd and Jeff; and his step-son, Brad Czoschke.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
