Daniel C. Schultz

Daniel C. Schultz, 70, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1951 in Fond du Lac, the son of Eugene and Lorraine Schultz. On June 3, 1972 he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Heisler at Sacred Heart Church and she preceded him in death on May 11, 2013. Dan proudly worked for Mercury Marine for 41 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, shooting pool at the senior center, playing sheepshead, watching the Brewers and Packers, telling jokes, and loved spending time in the Northwoods. Dan was a loving, gentle father and grandpa and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his two children, Jason (Beth) Schultz and Julie (Matt) Schwartz; five grandchildren, Logan Schwartz and Luke Schwartz, Cole, Marcus, and Dominic Schultz; his girlfriend, Terri Resop; siblings, Larry (Kathy) Schultz, Sandy (Larry) Gutjahr, Ken (Vernie) Schultz, and Patti Boelk; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna; and two infant brothers.

The visitation will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at church. Cremation will follow the traditional services and inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

The family extends a special thank you to Pat Vogds for all he has done for dad over the last several months and to the staff of SSM Hospice and Dr. Punit Kumar for the care and compassion given to Daniel and his family. The family would also like to share their complete gratitude to Dr. Parameswaran Hari (former Chief of Hematology Oncology Dept. at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin) whose superior knowledge and care gave dad more years than ever expected, as well as to Dr. Selim Firat (Dept. Radiology Oncology at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin).
