Darlene Ann Larson

Darlene Larson, 78, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed away April 16, 2013 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center.She was born February 23, 1935 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Leo Steinbarth and Anna Marie (Carey) Steinbarth.On May, 14, 1977, she married James 'Lardy' Larson in Fond du Lac, WI.Darlene was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. She worked at the Beer Hut, Sentry, the Lutheran Home, Howard Johnson's Hotel, and then later worked at All About Life Rehabilitation Center for almost 30 years. She enjoyed camping, reading, planting flowers (especially geraniums), the Packers, the Brewers, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending all of their activities. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community Parish and volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul in Fond du Lac.Survivors include her husband, James 'Lardy' Larson, Fond du Lac; eight children, Mary 'Sue' Burroughs, Fond du Lac; Thomas (Jeanine) Schommer, Brandon; Robert (Lisa) Schommer, Eden; Mark (Lyn) Schommer, Fond du Lac; Patrick (Ginger) Schommer, Fond du Lac; Ann (Chris) Flaherty, Fond du Lac; Steven Schommer, Fond du Lac; and Melissa 'Missy' (George) Sabel, Fond du Lac. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Linda (Pat) O'Brien, Sandy (John) Klawitter, Julie (Pat) Husnick, and one brother-in-law Dave (Jeanne) Larson. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Anna Marie (Carey) Steinbarth; one sister, Joan Marie Schaefer; and two grandchildren, Jamie Burroughs and Jason Burroughs.



Visitation: Visitation for Darlene will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. Visitation will also be held on Monday at Holy Family Parish, 271 Fourth Street Way, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish Church, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac.
