Darlene J. "Dede" Silah

Darlene J. "DeDe" Silah, 81, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born January 29, 1933, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of John and Esther Faris Silah. Darlene was employed by the City of Fond du Lac in the City Clerk's Office for 16 years, and later transferred to the Fond du Lac Police Department where she was an Office Administrator until her retirement in 1990. She was a life time member of Holy Family Parish, initially with St. Patrick's Church and currently attending Sacred Heart Church.Darlene is survived by a sister, Betty (Allen) Kolander of Hanford, CA, a brother, Robert (CAPT, USN (ret.), (Kathryn) Silah, of Tampa, Fl, a sister in law Betty Silah of Fond du Lac, 19 nieces and nephews, 33 great nieces and nephews, nine great great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Richard, Mitch, and Enos, two sisters, Hilda Seroogy and Elaine Kuether, and a nephew, Ricky Silah.



Visitation for Darlene "DeDe" Silah will be on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 10 to 12 noon at Sacred Heart Church, 678 Western Avenue, Fond du Lac. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday at the church. The Rev. Patrick Heppe will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home of Hope, 400 County Trunk K Fond du Lac, or Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac.
