Darlene K. Jurgensmier, age 64, of Madison, died Monday, September 10, 2018 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on August 8, 1954, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Krueger) Schrank. She was a graduate of Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac. Darlene worked for over twenty years as an adjudicator for Social Security. She loved animals, flowers, arts and crafts, baking Christmas cookies, and sewing. Darlene was extremely selfless and always put others first. She was the best “Grammy” ever.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Faircloth of Monona; one granddaughter, Melody Faircloth of Monona; one grandson, Taylor Faircloth; and one granddaughter on the way; her soulmate, James Bracken of Madison; her siblings, Eunice Hensel of Fond du Lac, Betty Keaton of Milwaukee, Shirley (Gerald) Klein of Lomira, Beverly (Don) Gescheidle of Fond du Lac, Lyle (Dorothy) Schrank of New Berlin, Sandy Bird of Tallahassee, FL, Karen (Dan) Bosque of Fond du Lac, Fred (Karen) Schrank of Olympia, WA; her former husband, Steve Jurgensmier of Fond du Lac; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, DuWayne Schrank and Daniel Schrank; one sister-in-law, Carol Schrank; three brothers-in-law, Steven Bird, Donald Keaton, and Gerald Hensel.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 12-3 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
