Darold H. Nell of 150 Southlake Circle, and formerly of 367 17th Street, Fond du Lac, passed away on January 1st, 2008.Darold was born in Fond du Lac on May 30, 1926 to Caroline and Hilbert Nell. In 1944, he graduated from Fond du Lac High School and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II.On September 11, 1948 Darold married Helen Gardner at Church of Our Saviour Ev. Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1998.Darold was retired from Giddings and Lewis and was a member of the Giddings and Lewis Oldsters. He was also a Fond du Lac Food Pantry officer and volunteer for over 25 years. Darold was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac.He is survived by his daughters, Louann Nell, Linda (Lon) Pickart, Lori (Bill) Agnew; his five grandchildren, Emily Pickart, Benjamin (Kimberly Nelson) Pickart, Laura Pickart, Elizabeth (David Radtke) Agnew, and Eric Agnew. Darold is further survived by his brother, Eugene Nell, his brother-in-law, Michael Pomatto and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Nell and Joan Pomatto, and brother-in-law William Gardner.



Visitation: Visitation for Mr. Darold H. Nell will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, on Friday, January 4th, 2008 from 4:00 PM until the time of Services.Services: A memorial service will be held at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 4th, 2008. Cremation has taken place. The Reverend Jeffrey Blain will officiate and private inurnment services will follow in the spring.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
