David A. Hanschke, 67, of N5563 Rademann Drive, Town of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1943, in Milwaukee, the son of Arthur and Marion Hinz Hanschke. He was a 1961 graduate of Milwaukee Lutheran High School and later attended Milwaukee Area Technical School. On September 29, 1989, he married Anne Ollinger at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha. David was employed by Giddings & Lewis for over 35 years. Prior to this, he worked for Kearney-Trecker in Milwaukee. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from September of 1961 to September of 1964. He was a volunteer at EAA, and enjoyed waterskiing, sailing, snow skiing, and cars. He was a member of the G & L Oldsters Club and a former member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Surviving is his loving wife, Anne, three daughters, Branda Gallun of Milwaukee, Stephanie (Neil) Riley of Minneapolis, and Katherine Dobiash of Milwaukee, four grandchildren, Addison, Landon, William, and Carolyn, who loved their "grandpa beard", a brother, Jon (Deborah) Hanschke of Milwaukee, a sister, Mary Jeanne (Thomas) Krueger of Brown Deer, two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Thomas) Uhen of Waukesha and Mary (Larry) Hickey of Naperville, IL, his mother-in-law, Marian Ollinger of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation for David A. Hanschke will be on Friday, November 19, 2010, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI from 1 to 2 PM. Memorial services will be at 2 PM at the church on Friday. The Rev. Frank Janzow will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
